Human nature is unique, as our ability for love and compassion goes hand-in-hand with the darker instincts to be cruel, rude and hurtful, just in the same way we are can adapt ourselves from a state of happiness to a state of sorrow. To get a real understanding of how love can conquer violence, do visit the blog at http://oneworldacademy.wordpress.com/

Achieving our dream is not easy and we have to face our share of challenges to see it realized. During our teens we often have vision of doing something significant; it is also a period when we tend to think earnestly about what we really want to do with our life. We often make promises to ourselves of never giving up on our dreams, no matter how difficult and insurmountable the challenges might be. Life presents its own set challenges at all times.....Read more.

Can anyone see the stupidity in a first strike on Iraq by the US and others? SH may be a bad person but remember those he gassed (wrongly) were being supported by the US to make trouble and destabilize Iraq, so although very very wrong, it was the US that encouraged and sponsored the uprising by the Kurds.
When western governments come clean and say - Look in 15-20 years or less we will be desperate for oil and the only way to secure this is to take control of the main oil fields NOW. Just be honest, hec you never know it might be accepted!!!!

It is so sad when greed and ignorance take over from compassion and respect for fellow human beings.
I pray for peace and understanding. I beg that those who do not care or want to go to war take a little time to consider how it would be to have their family blown to pieces for living in a country that is being attacked. If you ask surviving family members from past aggression nearly all will NOT want to kill those who may be blamed.

Stop the war and loin the thousands ringing the Whitehouse to register your opinion. It costs just pennies to do. Phone The White House and register 'No War' Call the USA: 202-456-1111 for a chance to say "I approve" or "oppose" a war with Iraq. Apparently, President Bush is taking an opinion poll. and they assume that for every person calling there are 10 others who did not call!

Please note the HumanShields brigade initiative led by ex-US Marine Ken Nicholls O'Keefe. A group of peace activists from N. America, Britain, Europe and other countries are on their way to Baghdad in the hope of deterring agression against the iraqis, in the tradition of Gandhi, Martin Luther King and Christ. Find information from www.humanshields.org. If you arent ready to join him, but feel to support the initiative, please see http://www.humanshields.org

Do not be concerned about what others may think of you. If it suits their purposes, then they will think well of you. If it suits their purposes, then they will think ill of you. And all this in spite of all the evidence that may suggest the contrary! Therefore, try your best and be content with yourself - the good, the bad, and the ugly. Remember that no man/woman is perfect, rather, all are a mixture of darkness and light. But let that light that shines within you be a good and holy light, a light that uplifts humanity.
