 Do not be concerned about what others may think of you. If it suits their purposes, then they will think well of you. If it suits their purposes, then they will think ill of you. And all this in spite of all the evidence that may suggest the contrary! Therefore, try your best and be content with yourself - the good, the bad, and the ugly. Remember that no man/woman is perfect, rather, all are a mixture of darkness and light. But let that light that shines within you be a good and holy light, a light that uplifts humanity.

 When you are old and weak will you expect your life to be worthless, we are all human beings, hatred and greed are feelings we can have the strength to overcome. Otherwise we are doomed to war and famin forever.
The people who you refer to as backward, who exactly are you talking about?
